ABOUT EMILY

Dr. Emily is a compassionate chiropractic physician who loves to help support growing families. She is a clinical specialist in pediatric, pregnancy, and postpartum care and has been an active steward to these populations, serving at the academic, clinical and legislative levels. She is certified in Webster Technique, which helps to optimize pelvic alignment and the baby’s position during pregnancy by working with the ligaments, joints and muscles surrounding the uterus. She is trained in Craniosacral Therapy, a gentle touch treatment that helps with calming and balancing the nervous system, beneficial to people of all ages. Dr. Emily utilizes several gentle touch modalities in her practice with the goal of creating individual treatment plans that meet each patient’s body where it is. Never forcing a pre-prescribed treatment plan, she instead listens and works together with each patient to help them accomplish their individual goals.

Dr. Emily Watters is an enthusiast of learning, having graduated cum laude with departmental honors from the University of Oregon with Bachelors of Science in Psychology and General Science, and minors in Biology and Chemistry. She then continued her education at the University of Western States, graduating summa cum laude as a Chiropractic Physician.  She served on the executive committee for the American Chiropractic Association’s Council on Pediatrics for almost a decade.  She shares her love of learning by helping encourage her patients to understand their own body, empowering her patients to feel self-aware, and motivating them to take their health into their own hands.

Dr. Emily’s passion for entering into chiropractic was based on the help she received from a chiropractor during her most physically and mentally formative years. It is from that experience that she has devoted her future chiropractic practice toward helping aid in the optimal development of pediatric patients. Through her education and technique with children she is honored to be able to provide the same second chance of an active life to another young person as she received through chiropractic care. She gained a deeper understanding during her own pregnancies and lactation journey on the benefits of chiropractic care, which helped fuel her passion for helping support mothers and babies during pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

In her free time Dr. Emily loves to travel abroad, sing and spend time in the outdoors with her husband, Sean, son, Oliver, and daughter, Linnea.
